District and Schools Anti-Bullying Act Grades
On this page you will find the District and School Grade Report issued by the NJ Department of Education. This report was generated through each school’s safety team’s self-assessment as related to the Department of Education requirements for the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act. This self-assessment allows each school and the district to review, analyze, reflect and plan for improving in all areas related to being compliant with the law.
The score is calculated using 3-point rubrics for each component within a section. The rubrics range from “not meeting the requirement” to “exceeding the requirement”. The total possible points for the self-assessment are equal to 78 points for the year. The district grade is an average of the school total grades. The Department of Education has required that this score only be reported out as a number as it does not relate in any way to a letter grade.
The South Plainfield School District will use this self-assessment data to build off our strengths and work to improve upon our scores while reaching for scores that exceed the requirements. The South Plainfield School District is committed to ongoing improvement related to all the anti-bullying regulations as well as ensuring our students are empowered to to make good decisions.
If you should have any questions in regards to these scores please contact the District Anti-Bullying Coordinator, Ms. Mary Malyska at 908-754-4620 ext. 8210.
