NORMAL SCHOOL DAY
Preschool (Full Day) - 9:00 a.m. - 3:25 p.m.
Elementary Schools (K-4) - 8:35 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Grant School (5-6) - 7:30 a.m. - 2:10 p.m.
Middle School (7-8) - 8:05 a.m. - 2:20 p.m.
High School (9-12) - 7:45 a.m. - 2:25 p.m.
(High School doors open 7:35 a.m.)
EARLY DISMISSAL SCHEDULE
Elementary Schools (K-4) - 8:35 a.m. - 1 :00 p.m.
Grant School (5-6) - 7:30 a.m. - 12:12 p.m.
Middle School (7-8) - 8:05 a.m. - 12:35 p.m.
High School (9-12) - 7:45 a.m. - 12:35 p.m.
Preschool Full Day 9:00 - a.m. - 1:25 p.m.
LUNCH WILL BE SERVED ON EARLY DISMISSAL DAYS.
EMERGENCY EARLY DISMISSAL
IT IS ADVISABLE FOR ALL PARENTS TO DISCUSS WITH THEIR CHILDREN CONTINGENCY PLANS FOR EMERGENCY EARLY DISMISSAL FROM SCHOOL. Parents are required to complete an Emergency School Closing Preference Form at the beginning of each school year.
NOTE: AFTER CARE (LATCHKEY) PARENTS: Upon an emergency early school dismissal due to inclement weather, THERE IS NO AFTER CARE.
90-MINUTE DELAYED OPENING SCHEDULE
When the start of the school day is delayed, the following schedule will be followed in the various schools:
High School (9- 12) - 9:15 a.m. - 2:25 p.m.
Middle School (7 - 8) - 9:35 a.m. - 2:20 p.m.
Grant School (5 - 6) - 9:00 a.m. - 2:10 p.m.
Elementary Schools (K- 4) - 10:05 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Preschool Full Day 10:30 a.m. - 3:25 p.m.
This reflects a 90-minute delayed opening.
NOTE: Bus pick-ups for students who are regularly bused to school will be 90 minutes after the normal pick-up time.
NOTE: BEFORE CARE (LATCHKEY) PARENTS: When there is a delayed school opening due to inclement weather, THERE IS NO BEFORE CARE.
LUNCH WILL BE AVAILABLE IN ALL SCHOOLS ON DAYS OF DELAYED OPENING.
EMERGENCY SCHOOL CLOSING/DELAYED OPENING
In the event of either school closing or a delayed opening because of inclement weather or other emergency (i.e., failure of any system crucial to the operation of the school), notice of such a delay or closing will be sent out to your contact phones and email addresses by our SchoolMessenger system. It will also be on radio stations WCTC (1450), 101.5 FM, and WABC (77AM). Please do not call the Police Department for such information.
